With training camp beginning several more UFL players are beginning to have their names called by NFL franchises for the 2025 training camp. As of Thursday Afternoon (7/31), the UFL has seen 30 players earn NFL contracts as the league hopes to surpass the 75 players who earned NFL opportunities in 2024. So far 64 players have worked out NFL during this signing cycle.

San Antonio Brahmas

Garrett Nelson was signed by the Broncos on July 31st. Nelson has spent Two seasons with the Brahmas, and signs with the Broncos after working out with them in June. Henry Black has also signed with the Falcons after working out for the team earlier this week. Jacob Harris also worked out for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on July 30th.

Arlington Renegades

Like Braylon Sanders (D.C. Defenders), Ricky Lee once again received his 5th workout this time with the Saints.

Houston Roughnecks

Keenan Isaac received his 4th NFL workout this time with the Cleveland Browns. Isaac’s Four workouts trail Braylon Sanders (DC), and Ricky Lee (ARL) who both have 5.

Memphis Showboats

After 4 workouts Jaylon Allen has finally signed. Allen signed with the San Francisco 49ers, and now has an opportunity learn and work with one of the NFL’s best units this season. Alec Lindstrom received his first taste of NFL interest with a workout for the Cleveland Browns. Lindstrom spent time with the Rams and Jets in 2024, making his NFL debut last season. Lindstrom would later sign with the Patriots on the 30th of July. Kwamie Lassiter II signed with the Chiefs on July 30th after his first season in the UFL. Lassiter recorded 24 receptions for 271 yards this year for the Showboats.

Michigan Panthers

Specialist Seth Vernon and Peter Bowden both worked out the Titans on July 30th. Both players are in their first season with the Panthers, with Bowden receiving his 2nd workout this cycle.

St. Louis Battlehawks

Jacob Saylors is returning to the NFL, earning his 3rd contract in Two seasons. Saylors is joining Nick Whiteside in Detroit as the UFL to NFL pipeline remains open for Dan Campbell’s team. Saylors has been a Two-Time All-UFL RB the past Two seasons in St. Louis. Kyler Baugh has signed with the Steelers after working with them on the 31st. Myles Jones also worked out for the Colts on the 30th.

D.C. Defenders

Liam Fornadel returns to the NFL this time signing with the New York Jets. Fornadel was a late signing in 2025, after spending the majority of the season with the Patriots on their Practice Squad. The Defenders also saw Anthony Hines workout for the Denver Broncos on July 29th. Hines spent time with the Jets on their Practice Squad last season and put together an All-UFL season in 2025. Braylon Sanders continues his workout tour this time with the Denver Broncos. The Defenders also saw Cornell Powell (SF), Deon Jackson (TB), and Michael Ojemudia (IND) all workout for the NFL teams on July 30th and 31st.

The Defenders also have seen their first signing Yasir Durant revert to Injured Reserve during the 2nd week of training camp. 2024 Defenders WR Kelvin Harmon, was released by the Cowboys. Harmon spent all of 2024 on the Practice Squad with Dallas last year.

Birmingham Stallions

Four Year Stallion Colby Wadman received his first workout since 2023 working out for the Titans. Wadman has been with Birmingham since 2022, in addition to launching 143 punts in his NFL career.

UFL Notes:

The NY Jets are signing Nick Folk to compete with Harrison Mevis after the release of Caden Davis. Folk kicked for the AAF’s Arizona Hotshots in 2019, in addition to his 19 Year NFL career.

Birmingham Stallions Offensive Line Coach Dave DeGuglielmo will be joining Standford as an Analyst in the fall. Coach Guge has been with the Stallions since 2024 and is a 2-time Super Bowl champion along with 30 plus years of experience.

Other coaching moves with Spring Football ties are Austin Walter 2020 Dallas Renegades Running Back joining the Washington Commanders scouting department, and Landry Jones 2020 Dallas Renegades Quarterback joining the University of Tennessee Football Team, as an Offensive Analyst.

Domenique Davis (USFL Houston Gamblers 2022) has also resigned with the Steelers, while Aaron Shampklin (Houston Gamblers 2023) worked out for the Jets.

D’Ersnet Johnson of the AAF’s Orlando Apollos worked out for the San Francisco 49ers on July 30th.
