Brandon Aubrey’s success from former MLS soccer player to USFL champion, to now NFL All-Pro Kicker has been well documented however, what hasn’t been his future in the NFL. After setting the record for most 60 plus yard field goals Aubrey has positioned himself to be the highest paid kicker in NFL history come this off-season.
Aubrey has earned two Pro Bowls, and two All-Pro honors since leaving the USFL’s Birmingham Stallions for the Dallas Cowboys. In 2023 he signed a 3-year $2,695,000 contract that is set to expire this off-season. Through his first 41 games, Aubrey is 102/106 on extra points, 91/100 on field goals while amassing 375 points leading the league so far in 2025, and in 2023. Aubrey’s resume in short time has made him the NFL’s deadliest Kicker as he is also 29/32 from beyond 50 yards.
Aubrey has also changed the NFL with his ability to “shorten” the field with his big leg. With NFL teams having to adjust due to Kickers (like Aubrey) being able to score from beyond the halfway point of the field teams are valuing the importance of their Kickers more than ever.
Aubrey has rewritten the record books in Dallas and is enroute to doing it in the NFL. So far, his Five career made field goals from 60 yards or deeper, the most in NFL history, he made an NFL-record 35 field goals in a row to begin his career, his 14 made field goals from 50 yards or deeper in 2024 are the most ever in a season in NFL history, while owning the longest made field goal in Cowboys history, a 65-yarder he made in Week 3 last season against the Baltimore Ravens, the second-longest made field goal in NFL history.
With the offseason creeping up, it’s clearly inevitable that Aubrey will dwarf Harrison Butker who signed a four-year, $25.6 million contract extension signed in 2024. with $17.75 million in guaranteed money.
