Orlando Storm head coach Anthony Becht has added Jordan Kitna to serve as the quarterbacks coach for the Storm during the 2026 season. Jordan Kitna has been strongly influenced by his father, former NFL quarterback Jon Kitna, who coached him in high school. Kitna is expected to help the Storm’s current quarterback room, which includes Dorian Thompson-Robinson, Jack Plummer, and Hank Bachmeier.

Kitna is expected to help each quarterback improve mentally by reading pass coverages and executing the Storm’s offense. In addition, Kitna comes in with a strong background in helping quarterback improve their throwing mechanics. However, Kitna has not coached at the professional level and most recently coached at Lakota East High School in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Jordan Kitna announced his move to the Orlando Storm’s coaching staff for 2026 with a tweet from his X account.

While Jordan Kitna does not have the distinguished football background of his father, Jon Kitna, or even his brother, Jalen Kitna, what he does have is the lessons he learned about quarterback play from his father. Jordan Kitna was a pocket passer in high school, and while playing college football, his knowledge of playing sound football from the pocket should help his Storm quarterbacks play more efficiently. As the quarterback at Lincoln High School in Tacoma, Washington, he had an outstanding Junior year, throwing for 3,702 yards and 55 touchdowns. In his Senior year, he continued to play for his father, Jon Kitna, at Waxahachie High School in Texas, and was named First-Team All-District despite playing in only 7 games.

Kitna then continued his playing career at Cisco Junior College for a season before moving to Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. However, after being redshirted his first year with the Horned Frogs, he transferred to NCAA Division II Colorado State University-Pueblo. During his college football career, Kitna developed a reputation for managing games efficiently and for using his high football IQ to navigate defenses.

I love the addition of Jordan Kitna!! Does that mean the QB Corral could be used as a pipeline to the UFL? I believe the UFL is an opportunity for these young coaches.
