A few weeks have passed since the UFL Draft and players’ allocation, and during that time, Anthony Becht and the Orlando Storm have worked to build a 64-man roster for training camp. Although there may still be adjustments before camp officially begins, the Storm appears to have its initial roster set. Over the past few weeks, the Storm has faced challenges acquiring its preferred number of tight ends.
The Storm’s tight end position is the last position group Orlando needs to complete before training camp. Initially, the Storm had the tight end position covered, but recently released tight ends Stevo Klotz and J.J. Galbreath, leaving only Steven Stilianos on the Orlando roster. However, the tight end is very important to Becht’s offensive game plan, so it was necessary to obtain more tight ends, which led to Kole Taylor and Shawn Bowman being added to the roster.
According to the UFL, the Storm has completed its 64-man training camp roster by adding another tight end, Konner Fox.
Konner Fox is a 6’4″, 253-pound tight end from San Antonio, Texas. Fox is best classified as a blocking tight end, and his large frame aligns with Becht’s vision for his offensive line and tight ends, especially in the run game. While Fox is an outstanding blocker, he has also shown the ability to catch passes and run quality short and intermediate routes when asked to do so.
Before coming to the UFL, Fox played college football at Kansas State University from 2019 to 2022, and he finished his college career at Texas State University in 2023 and 2024. While at Kansas State, he played in 9 games and caught 2 passes for 9 yards; however, he showed potential as a blocker. Fox then transferred to Texas State, where he played in 20 games, recording 24 receptions for 260 yards and 2 touchdowns.
