In chronicling as many UFL Showcase attendees for 2025 as I could, sometimes, names would fall through the cracks. Or, players would post their attendance on social media (or contact me privately) after my profiles for that Showcase had been written.

Not wanting to leave anyone out, I’m going back to catch up on those that I missed during my initial “sweep” of attendees. When applicable, I noted at which Showcase each player worked out. If you or someone you know attended a UFL Showcase in 2025 and was not previously profiled, please reach out to me (@gregmparks (Twitter/X), @gregmparks.bsky.social (Bluesky) or @g_man9784 (Instagram)) so I can include the information in my next and final article on the subject.

*DE Joe Achour, Shenandoah: A player with inside/outside versatility, Achour began his college career at Missouri Western University and ended up at Shenandoah. He saw limited playing time at both schools, but that didn’t stop Achour from seeking out a pro career. He’s played in a number of semi-pro and indoor football leagues, waiting for the opportunity from a league like the UFL. He attended the D.C. Showcase this year.

*WR Lawrence Arnold Jr., Kansas: Out of Texas powerhouse DeSoto High School, Arnold’s entire five-year college career was spent as a Jayhawk, covering 53 games. He caught 147 passes during that time, for over 2,200 yards and 14 touchdowns. He led Kansas in receiving yards in 2022 and 2023, and receptions in ’23. Those numbers helped put him on the Biletnikoff Award Watch List in 2024 for the top receiver in college football. A 4.73 40 time hurt his draft stock and dropped him to number 215 at his position in Dane Brugler’s draft rankings in The Athletic for 2025. Nevertheless, he was invited to try out at Atlanta Falcons minicamp in May.

*LS Brody Butler, Middle Tennessee State: A five-year starter at MTSU, by the school’s count, Butler had just two bad snaps on 530 total opportunities. Butler snapped for field goals, extra points and punts, giving him an advantage over some snappers coming out who only snap on punts or field goals. He was a two-time First Team All-CUSA selection. Butler worked out for UFL scouts at the Specialist Showcase run by Nick Novak.

*WR Ian Derda, Maritime College: Part of the State University of New York (SUNY) system, Maritime is located in The Bronx in New York City. Derda’s best year was in 2022 when he caught 66 passes for 1,104 yards. His final year was when he had the most touchdowns with 10. He ended his career with 154 catches for 2,269 yards and 21 TDs. Derda added 14 carries for 78 yards and averaged 20.2 yards per return on 56 career kick returns. He also played on the lacrosse team at Maritime. Derda attended and worked out at the D.C. Showcase.

*DE Jalen Green, James Madison: Injuries struck at the most inopportune times for Green, who played under current Indiana head coach Curt Cignetti at JMU. As a senior in 2023, Green was second in the FBS – yes, second – in sacks with 15.5 and tackles for loss with 21 despite missing the final three games due to an injury. That injury didn’t allow for Green to work out at his pro day and also prevented him from attending any NFL rookie minicamps, though Brugler ranked him as the 46th edge rusher in the 2024 draft. He was with the Toronto Argonauts this past year until he rolled his ankle in camp. At the Orlando Showcase, he was second in the three-cone drill among defensive linemen.

*DB Michael Holland III, Mississippi Valley State: Covered by our own Jonathan Clink two years ago, Holland is a football player that doubles as a track star. Holland’s football exploits have taken him from JUCO at Valley Forge Military College to the FCS at MVSU. As a pro, he’s played in Mexico as well as with indoor leagues like the CIF and AFL. Holland has been on the periphery of the CFL, USFL and XFL though he’s yet to solidify his standing at that level. The hope is this Showcase season is the one to get Holland on the map.

*CB Brian Hughes Jr., Bethel University: An active tackler on the back end of the defense, Hughes came to Bethel from Kentucky Christian University, where he made 57 tackles and had two interceptions in 2022. At Bethel, he notched 84 tackles in 2023, a high number for a defensive back. He added 6.5 tackles for loss and an interception on his way to being named All Mid-South Conference Second Team. In February of 2024, before the NFL Draft, he signed with Edmonton of the CFL. Hughes attended the San Diego Showcase in 2024 and the Orlando one in 2025.

*DE Tommy Larson, Madonna University: From a school located in Livonia, Michigan, Larson started at a much bigger school in the state: Michigan State University. He played special teams there before moving on to Saginaw Valley State and finally Madonna, where he registered double-digit tackles for loss in his two years there, in addition to 7.5 and 7 sacks respectively. After ranking as the 158th linebacker by Brugler before the 2024 NFL Draft, Larson ended up signing into the IFL with the Green Bay Blizzard before eventually attempting to make the UFL through the D.C. Showcase this year.

*DE Jordan Miles, Kennesaw State: Slated to be a member of the 2026 NFL Draft class, Miles did not play this past fall and it appears that he’s opted to go pro early, attending the Atlanta Showcase back in September. Miles started 14 games across two seasons at Eastern Illinois, leading the league as a freshman in tackles for loss (11). He continued to be active behind the line of scrimmage at KSU, and in his redshirt junior year of 2024, he had 7.5 tackles for loss among 45 total stops.

*CB Naim Muhammad, Kent State: A part-time player in four years at West Virginia, suiting up for just nine games, Muhammad moved on to Kent State for his final two seasons in 2023 and 2024. He earned the most playing time of his career in that final season, starting six of 11 games for the Golden Flashes. In those 11 games, Muhammad amassed 24 tackles, two tackles for loss and three passes defensed. Despite the lack of eye-popping stats, Brugler ranked him as the number 98 cornerback in the class, and he was invited to try out at Detroit Lions minicamp. Muhammad attended the D.C. Showcase for the UFL.
