As the 2025 NFL season comes to an end the final members of the AAF have completed their seventh season in the NFL continuing a legacy that is often reminded of the financial pitfalls in spring football. Regardless of the shortcomings of the league as a whole the AAF saw eight great weeks of football, that saw 99 players earn NFL contracts at the conclusion of league operations. Currently six members of the AAF remain employed by NFL teams at one point during the 2025 season, as the league’s legacy continues to remain strong.

Nick Folk Kicker New York Jets-Arizona Hotshots

At 41 years old Folk remains steadfast and appears to have an opportunity in the NFL for as long as he wants. He currently leads the NFL in FG % including hitting from 58 yards which is a career long. Folk has led the NFL in FG % the last three seasons currently earning over 2.8 million dollars in 2025. 

Career Earnings Since 2019: $15.2 million

Younghoe Koo Kicker Free Agent- Atlanta Legends

Koo may be finding his way into kicker anonymity as after his release from the Falcons, and the Giants he’s currently a free agent. Koo was in the 4th year of a  5 year / $24,250,000 that saw him released after some serious regression over the past two seasons. Koo did “cash in” making  $4,798,077 in 2025, however it appears he’ll be looking for work come 2026, or on the workout cycle.

Career Earnings Since 2019: $22.4 Million

Daniel Brunskill Offensive Lineman Miami Dolphins- San Diego Fleet

Brunskill has carved himself out a nice living as an NFL team’s “6th man” off the bench for the 49ers, Titans, and Dolphins. Currently he’s in his 9th professional season and 7th since his time in the NFL. He’s appeared in 15 games for Miami this year, starting 5 in his age 31 season. Brunskill is currently on a one-year deal and should find work once training camp comes around when injuries begin to mount for NFL teams. He earned $1,170,000 this season the 4th time he’s earned over a million dollars in a year.

Career Earnings Since 2019: $11.5 Million

D’Ernest Johnson Running Back New England Patriots- Orlando Apollos

Johnson still is kicking at age 29 with the Patriots. Johnson recently eclipsed 100 games appeared in, along with 1,000 career rushing yards making him the first running back in spring football history since the 1980s USFL to accomplish each feat. Johnson has appeared in seven games this season for the Cardinals and Patriots earning  $779,888 dollars in his 7th year of professional football.

Career Earnings Since 2019: $6.7 Million

Logan Woodside Quarterback Arizona Cardinals- San Antonio Commanders

Woodside is still managing to find his way on NFL rosters, spending time as a reserve quarterback with the Cardinals and Steelers in 2025. Woodside may be on his last leg of his NFL career however with his connections to various coaching staffs could provide value for the final part of his career. Woodside earned $122,500 during his two practice squad stints this season.

Career Earnings Since 2019: $3.5 Million

John Wolford Quarterback Minnesota Vikings- Arizona Hotshots

Wolford may have extended his NFL career by a year or two by engraving in the quarterback tree of Kevin O’Connell. Wolford spent training camp with the Jacksonville Jaguars before Carson Wentz’s injury forced the Vikings to give him a shot. He eventually found his way on the active roster finishing the season as the Vikings QB2 earning $487,580 in 2025. 

Career Earnings Since 2019: $4.3 Million

The 2019 class of the AAF earned $10,233,045 this year bringing the class’s total earnings to over $100 million in the past seven years. While Younghoe Koo, and Logan Woodside seem to be on their final legs of their careers, John Wolford, D’Ernest Johnson, Nick Folk, and Daniel Brunskill seem to be going strong as the 2019 class looks to move into the 8th year of their careers post AAF.
