As the 2026 UFL draft is now in day two, several pieces of information have been confirmed for teams coaching staffs. While coaching staffs have yet to be announced, with sources confirming that many contracts are being finalized several individuals have confirmed their commitments for the 2026 season.

Birmingham Stallions WR Coach: Cody Latimer

Latimer joins the Stallions, after spending 2025 with the San Antonio Brahmas. The 9-year professional football veteran now enters his 2nd year of coaching in 2026.

Dallas Renegades OL Coach: Xavier Su’a-Filo

An 8-year NFL veteran, who played under Renegades Head Coach Rick Neuheisel, Sua-Filo earns his first job as a coach replacing long-time spring football assistant Jonathan Himebauch.

Louisville Kings Offensive Coordinator: Steve Logan

Logan brings over 36 years of coaching experience most recently serving as the offensive coordinator for the Birmingham Iron. Logan has coached at the NFL, and NFL-Europe level, while also serving a Head Coach at the collegiate level as well.

Louisville Kings Defensive Coordinator: Jamie Sharper

Sharper is a 9-year NFL veteran, who has also been on the D.C. Defenders staff for multiple years. Sharper has coached both at the HS, and FCS college level and will now be a defensive coordinator for the first time in his career.

While the UFL has not formerly announced the hirings, sources have confirmed in addition to the Head Coaches of the respective staff. So far approximately seven coaches have confirmed their commitment to the UFL for the 2026 season.

The UFL will begin its next phase of the UFL draft set to take place today, January 14th at UFL Headquarters in Arlington, Texas. The second day of the UFL Draft will follow the same round format as day one and focus on players who are not under contract with another football league.

UFL teams must select a minimum of 60 players and a maximum of 62 players in the Draft, including three quarterbacks, regional allocations, and Reserve List players. Teams may sign additional free agents following the Draft; the training camp roster limit is 64 players.
