Players To Watch
Snoop Conner, RB – Birmingham Stallions
Conner joins Birmingham after spending time in the NFL. The Jacksonville Jaguars selected him in the fifth round (154th overall) of the 2022 NFL Draft out of Ole Miss. During his rookie season, he appeared in eight games and rushed for 42 yards on 12 carries with one touchdown. Conner spent the 2023 season on Jacksonville’s practice squad before signing with the Dallas Cowboys in January 2024. At Ole Miss, he rushed for more than 1,500 career yards and scored 26 touchdowns.
Drake Stoops, WR – Dallas Renegades
Stoops adds depth to the Dallas receiving corps. He is the son of Bob Stoops, the former Oklahoma head coach who now coaches the Arlington Renegades. Drake played six seasons at Oklahoma from 2018-2023. His final season was his best. He led the Sooners with 84 catches for 962 yards and 10 touchdowns. He earned First Team All-Big 12 honors. The Los Angeles Rams signed him as an undrafted free agent in 2024. He spent time on their practice squad and signed a reserve/future contract in January 2025. The Renegades selected him in the 10th round of the 2024 UFL College Draft.
Nicholas Petit-Frere, T – Removed by DC Defenders
Petit-Frere was removed from the DC roster six days after being drafted. The Defenders selected him in the 2026 UFL Draft on January 14, 2026. The Tennessee Titans originally drafted him in the third round (69th overall) of the 2022 NFL Draft out of Ohio State. He earned First-Team All-American honors as a Buckeye in 2021. Petit-Frere started 16 games at right tackle during his rookie season with Tennessee. He appeared in 15 games during the 2024 NFL season. The Titans waived him on April 17, 2025. The San Francisco 49ers signed him on May 9, 2025, then waived him on June 3, 2025.
Kai Nacua, SS – Retired
The DC Defenders selected Nacua in the 2026 UFL Draft on January 13. He rejected the selection and announced his retirement. Nacua is the brother of Los Angeles Rams receiver Puka Nacua. The BYU product spent the 2024 and 2025 UFL seasons with the Michigan Panthers, earning First-Team All-UFL honors both years. He recorded 44 tackles and one interception during the 2025 season. Nacua had NFL experience with the Cleveland Browns, Baltimore Ravens, Indianapolis Colts, San Francisco 49ers, and New York Jets. He logged 14 interceptions during his college career at BYU.
