Notable Player Moves

Jaren Hall, QB – Removed by Birmingham Stallions

Hall signed with the Birmingham Stallions on January 12, 2026, but was removed from the roster on January 27, 2026. The Minnesota Vikings selected him in the fifth round (164th overall) of the 2023 NFL Draft out of BYU.

Hall became the first Black quarterback to start a game for BYU when he replaced an injured Zach Wilson against South Florida in October 2019. He finished his BYU career with 6,174 passing yards, 52 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions over 31 games. Hall also ran for 796 yards and nine touchdowns with the Cougars.

The Vikings waived Hall in August 2024. He spent time on the Seattle Seahawks practice squad before his release in April 2025. Hall started two NFL games as a rookie in 2023, completing 13 of 20 passes for 168 yards. He suffered a concussion in his first start against the Atlanta Falcons and was benched at halftime of his second start against the Green Bay Packers.

Smoke Monday, S – Added by Columbus Aviators

Monday played four seasons at Auburn and recorded 172 tackles, six sacks, and six interceptions over his career. He earned Second-Team All-SEC honors in both 2020 and 2021. At 6-foot-2 and 199 pounds, Monday projects as a box safety with downhill tackling ability.

Monday had three interception returns for touchdowns during his college career, tying the Auburn school record. He returned a pick 100 yards for a touchdown against Tennessee in 2020. Monday recorded another pick-six in the 2019 Iron Bowl against Alabama, intercepting Mac Jones and returning it 29 yards for a touchdown in a 48-45 Auburn victory.

The New Orleans Saints signed Monday as an undrafted free agent following the 2022 NFL Draft. He suffered an ACL injury in August 2022 and was placed on injured reserve without appearing in a regular season game. Monday ran a 4.52-second 40-yard dash at the 2022 NFL Combine.

Tashawn Bower, DE – Added by Dallas Renegades

Bower signed with the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent following the 2017 NFL Draft out of LSU. He has appeared in 26 games over his NFL career with the Vikings, Patriots, Raiders, and Giants, recording 23 tackles and two sacks.

At LSU, Bower played in 40 games and recorded 60 tackles, 5.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles. He had three sacks against Louisville in the 2017 Citrus Bowl, including multiple sacks of Heisman Trophy winner Lamar Jackson. Bower played defensive end for three seasons before transitioning to a hybrid outside linebacker role as a senior under defensive coordinator Dave Aranda.

Bower recorded his first NFL sack against Jared Goff and the Los Angeles Rams in November 2017.

Tyler Davis, TE – Added by Birmingham Stallions

Davis was a sixth-round pick (206th overall) by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 2020 NFL Draft out of Georgia Tech. He appeared in 39 games over his NFL career with the Jaguars and Packers.

At Georgia Tech, Davis caught 17 passes for 148 yards and one touchdown in 2019. He scored the first touchdown by a Georgia Tech tight end since 2007, ending a 12-year drought caused by the program’s triple-option offense under Paul Johnson. Davis transferred to Georgia Tech from UConn, where he caught 47 passes for 500 yards and seven touchdowns over three seasons after converting from quarterback.

Davis led the Packers with 344 special teams snaps in 2022 and recorded 15 special teams tackles over the 2021-22 seasons. He suffered a torn ACL in a preseason game against the Cincinnati Bengals in August 2023.
