The St. Louis Battlehawks secured the XFL Conference title with a rainy 13-8 road victory over the DC Defenders on Sunday. St. Louis built an early 13-2 lead through strong running and timely defensive plays, then held off a late DC surge to improve to 8-2 on the season. The Defenders dropped to 6-4 but remain in second place in the XFL Conference.

    St Louis finishes the regular season with 14 more Rushing Yards than Passing Yards. You can’t ask more a more balanced Offensive attack than that.

    I’m not sure with the weather that this game proved much. I believe the main goal was to stay upright in order to lessen your chances of drowning. At least in the first half.
    Whomever the person was who designed the drainage system for that field must be feeling very proud after that game. Not only did the grass survive for the most part, but it looked like the standing water was completely gone by the 4th quarter. Excellent job!
