
With training camp beginning several more UFL players are beginning to have their names called by NFL franchises for the 2025 training camp. As of Tuesday Morning (8/4), the UFL has seen 37 players earn NFL contracts as the league hopes to surpass the 75 players who earned NFL opportunities in 2024. So far 71 players have worked out NFL during this signing cycle.
Jacob Harris is now with the Buccaneers after a workout with the team on the 30th of July. Harris is a boundary receiver who was one of San Antonio most efficient weapons through the better part of the season. Tight End Steve Stilianos worked out the Vikings on Sunday as well. Tight End Thomas Gordon also worked out for the Miami Dolphins as well.

After Five workouts Ricky Lee has signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Lee has worked out for the Chiefs, Jets, Falcons, Colts, and Saints. The Renegades also saw a 2nd Offensive Linemen earn an NFL workout with Spencer Rolland getting a with the Titans. Charlie Thomas III received a workout with the Browns on Monday 8/4. Thomas spent 2023 with Cleveland on their Practice Squad.

The Showboats continue to build on their 2024 NFL class, with Josiah Bronson signing with the Titans. Bronson previously worked out for the Colts in late July and now earns his 3rd NFL contract since joining the Showboats.

Ryan Nelson made his NFL Debut, starting at Right Tackle for the team. Nelson who signed with the Chargers on July 16th impressed Head Coach Jim Harbaugh with his ability to be “Football Ready”.
Panthers Long Snapper Peter Bowden received his 3rd workout this season working out for the Seahawks. The Panthers did see another Defensive Back earn an NFL contract with D.J. Miller continuing the Panthers to Lions pipeline in Detroit.

Jacob Saylors and Nick Whiteside both participated in the Hall of Fame Game this past Thursday. Whiteside recorded a tackle in the Fourth Quarter, with Saylors recording 12 All-Purpose Yards. Saylors reunites with 2024 Battlehawks Offensive Coordinator Bruce Gradkowski who is now on the Lions staff.
Cole Spencer for the Titans on 8/3. Spencer spent the spring as a reserve Offensive Linemen for St. Louis. He spent part of 2024 on their practice squad as well.

Like the Renegades Ricky Lee, Braylon Sanders finally earned an NFL contract with the Washington Commanders. Sanders worked out for the team on July 23rd, and could be a diamond in the rough especially with Terry McLaurin dealing with a contract dispute. Offensive Lineman Gunnar Britton received his 2nd workout this time with the Cleveland Browns.

The Stallions saw the first UFL player to be officially released with Mario Goodrich‘s contract being terminated by the Broncos. Goodrich was one of the first UFL players to earn a contract in the 2025 signing cycle. Goodrich would not remain unemployed for long, as he’d be claimed by the NY Jets joining his teammate Harrison Mevis. Bradlee Anae the Stallions dynamic Defensive Line, signed with the 49ers who are currently dealing with some injuries at the position.
Keaton Sutherland received his first workout this signing cycle working out with the Titans. Armani Taylor-Prioleau received his 1st workout this cycle, working out for the Detroit Lions. Taylor-Prioleau signed with the Commanders last season.

UFL Notes:
San Antonio Commanders QB Logan Woodside received his first workout since his release from the Bengals. Woodside worked out for the Ravens on August 1st. 2023 Arlington Renegades Defensive Linemen Bruce Hector worked out for the Steelers on August 1st, his 2nd workout this cycle. Hector would sign with the San Francisco 49ers on the 4th of August, making a return to the NFL. Former AAF Orlando Apollos Running Back D’Ernest Johnson has signed with the Ravens. He previously worked out for the 49ers on July 30th.
Former D.C. Defenders (2020) QB turned TE Tyree Jackson was placed on Injured Reserve for the 4th time in his career. Jackson has carved out a nice niche as a TE in the NFL, spending the past four seasons between practice squads and NFL rosters. He has earned just over 1.7 million dollars since his return from the XFL (2020).
Former Defensive Linemen turned Long Snapper Niko Lalos worked out for the Eagles on Sunday 8/3. Lalos spent all of 2023, and half of 2024 on the Saints practice squad. He’s attended several rookie camps as Long Snapper. Luq Barcoo received a workout for the Lions who opted to sign D.J. Miller instead.
