With training camp beginning several more UFL players are beginning to have their names called by NFL franchises for the 2025 training camp. As of Monday Morning (8/11), the UFL has seen 44 players earn NFL contracts as the league hopes to surpass the 75 players who earned NFL opportunities in 2024. So far 71 players have worked out NFL during this signing cycle.

San Antonio Brahmas

The Brahmas saw Two Tight Ends earn NFL contracts with Thomas Gordon and Steven Stilianos signing with the Bears and Lions respectively. Both Tight Ends were late signings, who earned several workouts prior to signing.

Arlington Renegades

Spencer Rolland received his 2nd workout with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Seth Green Tight End was released by the Saints who roster a crowded Tight Room, and have seen former Birmingham Stallions Draft Pick Dallin Holker retire earlier this year.

Memphis Showboats

Deneric Prince signs with the Patriots after the team places Lan Larison on injured reserve. Prince worked out for New England in June after the UFL season.

Michigan Panthers

After signing with the Cardinals, Keni-H Lovely has been released by Arizona. He did not appear in any NFL preseason games. Lovely did recently workout for the Commanders on Sunday 8/10. Gunnar Oakes signed with Detroit Lions his first NFL contract of his career. Oakes spent Two seasons with the Panthers, and was All-UFL selection in 2025.

D.C. Defenders

Offensive Lineman Gunnar Britton received his 3rd workout this time with the Green Bay Packers. Deon Jackson has also signed with the Lions who recently waived/injured a Running Back, along with Britton as the Lions recently placed Four players on injured reserve. Wide Receiver Seth Williams was waived by the Raiders on 8/10. If he clears waivers he may be reverted on injured reserve and could receive an injury settlement.

Ronnie Perkins received a workout with the Washington Commanders, his second workout this cycle. Keaton Sutherland signed with the Detroit Lions after the team placed four players on injured reserve.

UFL Notes:

Tucker Addington former Houston Gamblers Long Snapper was released on Thursday August 7th. Julian Pearl a Michigan Panthers 2024 Draft Pick worked out for the Steelers on 8/7. With QB Will Howard injured, former San Antonio Commanders QB Logan Woodside has signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

D.C. Defenders Draft Pick Tanner Mordecai was resigned by the 49ers who released him earlier in the month. Michael Dwumfour who signed with the Battlehawks in December but didn’t play, signed with the 49ers as well. Former All-XFL CB Luq Barcoo signed with the Detroit Lions on August 5th. He joins Nick Whiteside and D.J. Miller in an injured Lions Defensive Backfield.
